If you weren’t at this show you missed out and if you weren’t in the first two rows you missed out. The best show of the year, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings graced the stage at Doug FIr and treated to all present to to a mind blowing show of the most real soul music I’ve heard in years. From start to finish (with an encore of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World” it was a truly mind blowing experience. Buy the albums, see the show if you get a chance you won’t regret it.

Yes that’s right! Straight from Chicago it’s the legendary Naked Raygun… Raygun, played a great set at Dante’s with the crowd singing along to every song. Closing with their very best song “Home of the Brave” it was a great show.

My partner in crime and best friend Chad back in PDX. for tattoos and the Naked Raygun show ran into a long lost relative at the comic shop.

So after missing them last year the fabulous King Khan and BBQ show rolled back through Portland. Needless to say it was dance party 07! There wasn’t a butt not shaking in the club. From the start of the set with their best track “Fish Fight” to the very end beers were thrown, feet were tapping and of course big smiles all around. If they come through your neck of the woods check em out you won’t be sorry, you’ll be tired from dancing and maybe a little hungover but you won’t be sorry….
